Canada Start-Up Visa
SUV (Canada Start-Up Visa)
Talented entrepreneurs who are excited to start projects that will strengthen the economy and create jobs for Canadians are desperately needed in Canada.
The Start-Up Visa Program
The start-up visa program in Canada allows business owners to enter this country to establish a new company. Entrepreneurs who wish to live in Canada permanently must demonstrate that their business is unique, that it will hire Canadians, and that it can compete internationally.
The requirements of the SUV program!
To be eligible for a start-up visa to Canada, you need to meet the following four requirements:
- Are Innovative,
- Capable of competing globally.
- Capable of giving Canadians jobs.
To apply to the SUV program.
A letter of support from an eligible organization approved by the Canadian government is required. CIIS Inc. can help you demonstrate your backing from a venture capital fund, angel investor group, or an incubator. To do this, you must convince the group that your company idea is worth supporting and sell it to them. There will be a different process for presenting your business idea to each designated entity. (We can assist you in that procedure as well as many others.)
If your innovative idea is approved, the designated organization also known as (DO) will send you a letter of support, which you can show as proof of their support in your start-up visa application. We’ll see to it that you get a chance to pitch your creative concept to the right and reputable no-nonsense designated organizations. (This should be the first step to make sure your investment money is not wasted in Canada.
Bring Money for your Settlement in Canada.
CIIS Inc. can guide demonstrating your financial support and viability. You will need to demonstrate that you have required funds available after you arrive in Canada to support yourself and any of your dependents if applicable.
Meet language eligibility requirements.
You must pass a language exam to show that you can speak, read, write, and listen in either French or English to the minimal standards of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5.
IRCC-recognized designated organizations.
To meet the eligibility requirements, you must submit documentation (a letter of support and commitment certificate) proving that your company is funded by an established institution. Your startup visa application’s success depends on these documents, which will contain all relevant details regarding your agreement with one or more recognized organizations. Unlike other investor programs, ( both federal and provincial) which require applicants to invest their funds, SUV applicants would not be required to invest their own funds.
